• (1/5) Very long line. We arrived at 7pm and didn't get into our room until 8 pm.


• (3/5) Stoped in the late morning. However, the room ready message came in a bit late in the day but we're local so it wasn't an issue.


• (2/5) When we got to our room was assigned to other family we them went again to the checking desk they give us another room when we got to the room was dirty you can see spider webs everywhere they told us they can send housekeeping we travel all day long we was so tired that I tell them to fixed tomorrow morning tomorrow pass they did nothing we have stay at this resort 4 times and every time something happened we give them more than enough times for a good review but is like Port Orleans Riverside is a motel in Disney


• (4/5) The lady at check in did not give very good directions to our room nor offer to help us get assistance to get there. We came off DME and had all of our luggage. We were at check in and our building was on the complete opposite end of where we were. We were hot, tired, and hungry and had to wheel 6 suitcases across the resort. Not good.

We also had to wait for a while for someone to be available to check us in. Our room was not immediately available but we also arrived before 3 PM. • (2/5) Cast member at check in was incredibly rude and was clueless- we were given a second floor in Alligator Bayou even after several calls pre trip for first floor due to stroller and no elevator - lugging a sleeping 4 year old and stroller up steps after a park day is not ideal. They gave us another guest’s Amazon delivery

• (4/5) The entry way is beautiful! It did take about 20 minutes to see a front desk associate. Also the entryway may be a bit confusion for anyone who has not been there before as it splits in many different ways.


• (2/5) We never got a text that our room was ready. We arrived at the resort around noon, got a snack, and went to the pool. I stood in line to ask about the room when it was well after 3 pm and still no text. My whole family of 4 had to come to the front desk (from the pool) to scan our Magic bands and be sure they were working for some reason. For a process that’s generally so easy this was a frustrating start.

The cast member who checked me in didn’t seem to particularly enjoy his job... he didn’t smile once and didn’t offer any of the celebration pins (I had to ask for the 1st visit pins for my children). He was fine - just didn’t give me that “Disney magic” feeling.

• (2/5) I’ve stayed in a few of the different on property hotels in the past and think this was my least favorite so far. It’s nothing special. Our room was supposed to be a Royal, garden view room. Instead it was directly under the stairs with only a view of the underside of the stairs and of the janitor staff rolling garbage cans past or even better, yet the sound of their golf carts going past all hours. But I’m just going to get to my biggest complaint... on the day of our checkout (11am) we headed to grab some breakfast at the food court after having packed up our things into the car. We left our toothbrush and a few other personal items, knowing we were going to go back to the room after we ate. We left the room around 8am and when we returned a little after 9am, we found that the room door was propped wide open and house keeping was already inside and had the room completely torn apart. Beds moved, vacuum going, cleaning chemicals the whole thing! We were shocked. Come to find out some of our belongings were thrown away, like toothpaste and such. Our other belongings like our $200 electric toothbrushes were already turned into lost and found. House keeping must have gone into our room shortly after we left. But WHY? We paid for that room until 11am! Not to mention, the person cleaning the room said he looked in the window and didn’t see anyone. WHAT?! What if we were still in bed, getting out of the shower or any other reason why you wouldn’t want someone looking into your rooms window? I went to the front desk, spoke with a manager who was just going through the motions. We got a $25 gift card. Not pleased with that hotel, to say the least.


• (5/5) Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. My son got a Yoda Magicband for X-Mass and had to have his information transferred and Hannah took care of it right away.

The guy behind the desk checked in 2 families before we were done. Also. There’s a about 12 feet from the desk to the queue. They cast member pulled me about 3 feet from the queue and I felt I had zero privacy.

Plus they did not honor the woods view room we paid for. Yes, river view is more expensive, but we do not like that, too noisy.

We have been to the park in Orlando in the park in California and a total of probably close to 200 park visits. I am also an annual passholder and residents and I have grown up with the Disney Channel and all the classic Disney movies and I’m a huge fan of everything Disney. My last three stays in the past month have been absolutely a nightmare. Actually if there was a word that I could use that is worse than a nightmare I would use it. The first resort I said it was the boardwalk. The concierge and anyone that checked me in at the front desk was extremely rude and made me wait even though they had somebody with an iPad nearby. I guess my day was OK there nothing out of the moon awesome experience that I want to write about. One thing that really bothered me was how my key card of goofy had yellow eyes. It kind of reminds me of when my mom was dying of liver cancer and her eyes were jaundice . Next trip was at the fort wilderness campgrounds. The girl that checked me at the gate was very friendly I cannot remember the cast members name but she told me to simply pull aside on the side parking lot and wait for a tax to get me into my room . I never received a text and I was completely lost as I waited around and then decided to drive around to kill time. My friend met up with me so I met him back at the front of the complex and we decided to go for a walk because I still have not received a text nor did I know where the front gate was where I could talk to somebody about getting into my room. When we finally walked over 5 miles back-and-forth we received a call that our room was ready so we went there. I have not really been to Disney at much in the past six months Cu I’ve been busy but all I know is that the app my Disney experience is an absolute nightmare. To reasons when you use it to the the of you to to and is no a to and experiences to live and you. The cabin was really fun but we ended up checking out the next day after a nightmare on the horseback riding trail the lady did not tell me that I had to wear pants she said just wear something comfortable and some shoes that are not open toed after riding the horse I had an allergic reaction from my thigh down to my ankle. I told the cast member during the ride that I needed to get off because my whole leg was inflamed and I couldn’t stop itching and the horse was even uncomfortable. Instead she rode the tail of my horse and literally was breathing down my neck. When I got off the horses and tried to explain no one will listen to me so I said I need to get off his horse now in a cast member finally escorted me off the ledge then walk down and I simply grab my phone and said we are leaving we packed her stuff up and I’ve never packed my things faster in my life. The last resort I stayed at and the last time I will stay at Disney World resort was this past weekend at the port Orleans riverside resort from the start it was a nightmare although the girl who checked me in with her iPad made the process of the check and very quick. And then was told to simply go outside and across the bridge and I would see signs to my room. I ended up walking probably 2 miles in the heats not a single person asked me if I wanted to have my bags carried and nobody told me that I can pull my car up right outside my room. So after I finally found my room I had to walk all the way back to my car get my car and then I had to ask to get help to find a parking lot outside my room. The signs are horrible at night also backwards when you’re driving down the road to get to your cabin or your house there are no signs that face where you’re going there simply facing the way of the rooms . The rest of the night was OK my friend arrived from out of town and she’s only been to Disney World once. We got a good night‘s sleep I woke up early and ordered breakfast for us and had to walk all the way to the front of the resort. What happened to room service I’m pretty sure Cove doesn’t affect that since the same employees are serving us food in the mess hall. And once I got my food I was a little lost I was kind of sleepy because I had not had my coffee yet. I wandered around for about 45 minutes no cast members were available to help me. I finally saw a housekeeping lady going to to and and and she finally me she had no idea it was to work as is to to train to a college hard to pass. Nobody could help me find my room so I got really frustrated and I sat down and started to D breeze not only was I tired but I’m also dyslexic and I am very very very sensitive to directions and sometimes I get lost and have anxiety attacks I was finally able to find a cast member who finally listen to me and said I’m sorry sir but I’m gonna need to know what room number you’re in. By that point I was so upset but still very calm and polite I told him I don’t remember sir. I gave him my room key and he looked me up and was very pleasant. I wish I could remember his name but after the weekend I am honestly so upset that I can’t even remember these cast members that did a great job I cannot remember their names which is sad . So not all of this experience was bad some of the cast members were friendly but overall like I said I will never be returning to Walt Disney World resort as long as I live on this planet the amount of issues I’ve had staying there three times in the past month and a half or just unacceptable my parents of been taking us here for 30 to 40 years. We’ve spent so much money a Disney probably things will not be here if it wasn’t for my family and my relatives in amount of money to spend this company. And for that I was treated like a scam on the bottom of their feet. And that’s to sayit nicely. I have no idea what has happened to Disney World resort hotels but it is absolutely mind blowing and like I said and I only why be going to the resorts but I will tell everyone I know about the three experiences I’ve had informed them that they should really look into going to Universal instead. Disappearance at universal is so magical the parks are in sane the riser amazing Disney World rides are also incredible in the park experiences amazing. But however what if I wanted to go on this vacation to Disney and instead I didn’t want to bring my phone anywhere I wanted to disconnect to technology I don’t want to just go to the park that is absolutely not an option at Disney. To go to Disney world nowadays I would recommend anyone to take Adderall or Vyvanse because you need to Zach focused to have a magical experience there. When I go there I want to not take my ADHD meds I wanna relax and I want to just be like you know chill. But that’s never an option for me anymore with my ADHD my Leksich disorders and sensory issues I must be glued to my phone at all times. I am seriously horrified horrified at the experiences I’ve had and I will never ever be returning to resorts ever again thank you kindly best Peter Pappas a.k.a. Saint Pete

There weren't preferred rooms available and that was that (even tho we made our reservations early in the year.) My travel agent told us they should have offered us a preferred room at a different resort which they did not.

Would’ve preferred just being direct or not saying anything to smirking and insinuation that we were stupid. It was a lousy first impression. One bright spot was a store employee/possibly a manager was extremely helpful in helping us locate a replacement suitcase when ours broke the night before our departure.

We checked in early, and were told that our bags would be dropped off in our rooms by a certain time. However, due to a rainstorm, the cast members were grounded and not allowed to deliver luggage, leaving us bagless with a dining reservation to make. This in itself was fine and understandable, but we could not get a hold of the checked bag office to check on their status, or to talk to a person. We were on hold for over 40 minutes trying to get someone on the phone. Ultimately, I made the choice to walk back to the lobby in a Florida downpour to get our bags, and when I got down to the office, the cast members got the "all clear" to deliver bags. If I was able to get a hold of someone on the phone, I wouldn't have had to get soaked and walk 15 minutes in a Florida storm.

However, there were multiple times where the room felt half-done.The nail in the coffin for my family was that housekeeping completely skipped my room the day before my wedding. I know they could not have known this, but it made the entire situation worse. I had to call the Mousekeeping at 9 PM and stay out of my room until they could make it back. Put a damper on the stay for sure.

We went to front desk, explained everything and they transferred us right to cabins for the port Orleans lower rate at about 200 at that time. So Disney made it right, never again here

Upon arriving home we had to bake our luggage in black bags in the hot sun on a reflective tarp. All washable items had to be washed on "hot" and dried on "hot" at a laundromat. • (10/10) I thought the new decor in the rooms was GREAT. Nice artwork and decor items. Gave the feel of being in the bayou/princess and the frog without throwing it in your face. The building materials used seemed a fairly good quality. Raised beds, new outlets, a whole sink area. There's charm there which is what I want when I stay at Disney. It's a nice hybrid between some light but noticeable theming and the sterile decor some of the deluxe resorts are moving to.

Looked into purchasing or where I could get one and no one was able to help or point me in the right direction. my wife and kids LOVED!!!! the Ray shower curtain. The whole Princess frog decor is fantastic one of the few Disney movies that does not get it's do! so glad to see Riverside honor it.

We called the front desk to come and look at it. It never posed any safety issue but it definitely needed some maintenance. Overall, the theming if the rooms fit the resort well.

• (6/10) Decor was lovely - we stayed in a Royal Room however the room was well past it's date for a soft good refurbishment. Much of the wood pieces were worn and scratched. Headboard lights didn't work. There was a large bleach spot in the navy carpet. Overall, it felt grungy due to excessive wear and tear. We paid a premium for the royal rooms this trip but having stayed both there and the Alligator Bayou section, I'd choose Alligator Bayou for future visits. IMPORTANT: the hotel was very open to our concerns about the royal room wear and provided appropriate consideration.

That being said these rooms do need a little bit of refresh. There are no HDMI plugs, and not enough plugs overall for all of the things we needed to plug in each night. Some baseboard paint could also be touched up. Overall though I would certainly stay here again.

I have also stayed at the Contempary and more recently at Port Orleans Riverside since it was built. Also, having the option to walk to Port Orleans Riverside to grab a Beignet was awesome!

• (6/10) Wasn't there long enough for this. Did get an inroom call about the beignets fun run.


• (10/10) life guards were fantastic tough job with many people complaining when asked to leave the pool area because of weather. However if you stopped and talked to them for a few minuets great kids great people just doing there job. Well run!!!

Cast members were, however, very helpful addressing this - though it remained problematic throughout our stay.

• (4/10) One word... horrendous. To elaborate the moderate resorts are just too big to have good transportation. Nothing was worse than being packed on the bus for literally the entire internal loop. The main bus stop was the last on and last off. So the bus was packed already going to my destination. And getting home after the day I just wanted to get off the bus and get the kids to bed. But nope another 5-10 minutes around the entire resort. Where my room was also was not the best location as I had a walk to the main stop or a secondary location.

It is UNSAFE to have children and adults holding small children and babies standing. • (4/10) This resort is large. There are 4-5 bus stops within the resort loop. Very time consuming. We did use a Minnie Van to get to a reservation at Chef Mickey’s before the Christmas Party. I was impressed on how quick we had a van and the short trip from POR to the Contemporary. If we would have waited on busses, we would have been late. Also, and most likely not the bus drivers fault, my son had a moment getting sick after a day at Animal Kingdom. He was sitting on my lap on a packed bus. He vomited all over me. Although I tried my best to contain the contents, unfortunately some of the fluids got on the seat next to and underneath me. We, of course were the last drop off. The bus also stopped at French Quarter before the 4 stops at POR. The preferred rooms nearest the lobby was the LAST stop out of 5. Imagine my mortification being that my son just vomited on me but also that we had to sit there and wait until it was our time to get off the bus. Anyway, everyone had pretty much cleared off the bus. We were the last passengers to get off. I asked the bus driver if he had any sanitizer spray or paper towels as I wanted to properly clean up after my son. He had NOTHING other than a partially dirty towel in a bin near the front if the bus. I wanted to do my due diligence as a mom and CLEAN up after my son. I did the best with the dirty towel he offered me and I also had a few Clorox wipes in my backpack. It was a memory I would like to forget. I’m very surprised that Disney busses aren’t equipped with supplies in case kids or passengers get sick. I was very worried that my kid possibly passed a bug to someone else. I called the front desk to explain what happened and to apologize that my son got sick. He developed a fever later that night so I know he had a bug. I expressed my concern that the busses aren’t equipped with the basics for cleaning. It was surprising to me that Disney doesn’t provide these basic necessities for bus service. It truly doesn’t surprise me that things like norovirus and more minor stomach bugs spread like wildfire throughout Disney during peak times. It makes me question the overall safety and sanitation efforts on a whole at the WDW Resort.

Now that you've taken that away, the rating would have to be very unsatisfied. Waiting for the buses takes too long and they get too crowded and you have to stand. So the buses were packed in the morning and have to cram in their tighter than the lid on a pickle jar or take the next bus hoping it was less crowded. Also the main bus stop was the last one on and off despite being the most populated stop for oncoming and offloading of passengers. Worst part of my day was the long walk back to the room after a long day in the parks. I get it... it's Disney you have to walk. Just think the overall handling of the buses need improvement.

In addition to being given wrong info about operating times both for ferry and bus transport, One cast member providing info at the main lobby stop relayed to us that the bus we were looking for would arrive in 20 minutes, then 15 mins later told another family that that same bus would arrive in 20 minutes again. Obviously no one can know everything or be accurate to the minute, but it felt as though cast was providing info without having certainty about that info. Much smoother and easier bus transportation at Pop and previous stays at French Quarter. Did not like experience of multiple bus stops.

• (8/10) Bus service here was good, we never waited more that 20 min for a bus. However, the bus stops can get hectic as each stop serves multiple parks. A few days there were long lines for certain parks and other lines would have to cut across that line when the bus came. This was even more complicated when traveling with someone in an ECV or wheelchair. There was almost always a CM on hand to help direct the traffic and to call for additional buses when needed. One thing to consider is that there are multiple stops at this resort and sometimes a bus will get to the south depot (main building) and it would be almost full. This resort also sometimes shares buses with French Quarter, mostly at night. This only impacted us once when, a bus reached the South Depot and it already had the ECV spots filled. The CMS called for a new bus right away though.
