Disney Discounts for Military
As a thank you for their service, Disney offers military members special discounted rates for Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme park tickets, Resort hotel stays, and select Disney Cruise Line vacations. Disney Cruise Line military discounts are updated regularly, so check back often if you are looking at a cruise. Walt Disney World also has its own military resort, Shades of Green, for members of the U.S. Military and their families.

Shades of Green
In a secluded area near Magic Kingdom, between the Magnolia and Palm golf courses, sits Shades of Green Resort. Shades of Green was originally built as a deluxe Walt Disney World Resort and was formerly known as the Disney Inn. In February 1994, the Department of Defense leased the resort for exclusive use by retired and active military personnel and their families, members of the reserves and National Guard, and Department of Defense civilians.
The name “Shades of Green” refers to the camouflage uniforms worn by the armed forces without singling out one branch. The resort is self-supporting and operates with non-appropriated funds. Profits are turned back into the resort for improvements to accommodations and services.
Note: Shades of Green requires cancellation notice at least 30 days before arrival, or your credit card will be charged an amount equal to one night’s stay.
Walt Disney World Tickets for Military Personnel
Yearlong Ticket for U.S. Military Members
Walt Disney World has announced a ticket offer for U.S. military members and their families. The Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket provides yearlong access to all four Walt Disney World theme parks throughout 2026 for $499 per person plus tax.
The ticket is valid from January 1 through December 18, 2026. It is blocked out March 29 through April 11 and November 22 through 28, 2026.
The ticket can be purchased by eligible active or retired U.S. service members and their families through participating military base ticket offices.
Military Tickets Beyond Disney World
Two popular attractions in the Orlando area also offer discounts to active military members. Anheuser-Busch offers special rates at both Busch Gardens and SeaWorld through the Hero Salute program.
Disneyland Military Discounts
Disneyland discounts for military personnel are available for room-only reservations at the Disneyland Resort. Availability is limited. We recommend that you book early if you qualify for this discount. The discount is offered to active and retired military, and Disneyland will require a valid military ID at check-in.
