Disney World Restaurant Reservations

Disney offers a variety of dining options, ranging from snack carts and quick-service locations to fine dining experiences. Table-service restaurants can be popular, and a table can be difficult to find during peak times.

During the planning of your Disney World vacation, take a look at the restaurants offered and make advance dining reservations for the restaurants of your choice. Dining reservations can be made at Walt Disney World table-service restaurants 60 days in advance. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can make dining reservations for their full length of stay, up to 10 days of vacation, at 60 days from their arrival date.

Dining reservations can be made by calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE, online using the official Disney website, or through the My Disney Experience app.

Guests can see available reservation time slots for a restaurant throughout the day on DisneyWorld.com, Disneyland.com, and the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. Reservations are sorted by breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Disney has also announced that guests will be able to see dining availability for multiple days with one search. Available reservations for a given restaurant for up to 10 days at a time will appear, making dining planning easier.

Advance Disney Dining Reservation Tips

We have assembled a list of tips that might help you get the reservation you want.

  1. Be flexible with your dining time. The most popular lunch times are usually between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Popular dinner times are usually between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Less popular times are often easier to secure.
  2. Be aware of special events surrounding the restaurant of your choice. Getting a window seat at California Grill during Magic Kingdom fireworks can take advance planning.

Hot Tip: Even if you dine at California Grill at 5:00 p.m., you can return later that evening to watch fireworks from the observation decks by showing your same-day receipt at the check-in desk.

  3. Be practical when booking your family’s reservation. Breakfast is generally less expensive than lunch, and lunch can be less expensive than dinner. A late breakfast buffet may work as a midday meal. A late lunch can also help you eat at a preferred restaurant while avoiding peak meal times.
  4. Be prepared to split large parties. Many Disney restaurants have limited tables for large parties. You may need to book two tables of four instead of one table of eight. Let the restaurant know when you arrive, and they will usually try to seat your party together or near each other.
  5. Be aware that Disney’s dining reservation system is not perfect. You might have trouble finding a table for two but find availability for three. The system looks for a table that matches your party size and can show no availability even when other table sizes exist. Occupancy rules also apply, and each restaurant has a maximum capacity.
  6. Keep in mind that some times of year are more crowded than others. A table in the second week of January is usually easier to book than the same table during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Reservations are available 60 days out and 60 days plus 10 for Disney Resort guests.
  7. Be persistent. If your chosen location is booked, check back later. Plans change and guests cancel. Many reservations also change around final payment windows and closer to travel dates.
  8. Be courteous to other guests and cancel reservations you will not use. Another family may be waiting for that reservation. Making duplicate reservations for the same time frame is frowned upon. If you do not cancel within the required cancellation period, you may be charged.
  9. Don’t assume that you won’t get what you want. Last-minute reservations do happen, even at popular restaurants. Keep checking.
  10. Children under 3 should be included when making your reservation. Even if the child sits on someone’s lap, they count toward restaurant occupancy.
  11. If all else fails, try walking up to the podium and asking about availability. It does not hurt to ask. This is especially true when it rains, since some guests leave the parks and restaurants may have more open tables.

We hope these tips help you get the Disney dining reservation you want.

Bon appétit!

Disney Dining Reservation Cancellation Policy

For table-service restaurant reservations, guests usually need to provide a credit card guarantee when booking. If a reservation is not canceled at least two hours in advance at most dining locations, a $10 per person charge may be made to the card.

Reservations can be canceled up to two hours before the reservation time to avoid the charge at most restaurants. To cancel, guests can call (407) WDW-CNCL, stop by any table-service restaurant front desk, call (407) WDW-DINE, or use the My Disney Experience app. You may also want to consider modifying your reservation to another date.

Reservations can also be made and canceled online at DisneyWorld.com/Dining.

Some locations require pre-payment, such as Cinderella’s Royal Table and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. If these reservations are not canceled one day in advance, the full amount may be charged.

This policy applies to Disney-owned restaurants and operating participants. Always read the cancellation policy for each restaurant when booking, since terms can vary by location and are subject to change.

Disney World OpenTable Restaurants

Guests can make dining reservations for the following restaurants by using the OpenTable app on their smartphone.

We do our best to keep this list current, but it is subject to change at any time without notice.
